AEM CD5 Carbon Flat Panel Digital Displays are perfect for flush mount installation or in-dash enclosures with tight tolerances. They include all of the robust features found in the original CD-5 Carbon car dashboard monitors, but do not have buttons or an LED shade hood built into the enclosure. AEM CD5 Carbon Flat Panel Digital Displays feature full-color, daylight readable screens surrounded by a slim, tough, lightweight flow-molded carbon fiber composite housing. Seven ultra-bright LEDs span the top of the display housings for RPM and shift light indication. Users can program them to ascend in specific increments based on RPM range and flash when it is time to shift. Brightness is user programmable on the fixed color LEDs. A remote button kit (PN 30-3610, sold separately) easily wires into the CD Carbon wiring harness and allows users to change pages and clear memory. Two additional programmable LEDs are included in the car dashboard monitor's enclosure and are fully programmable

Add Vehicle Dynamics Module for GPS, 3-axis gyroscope and 3 axis accelerometer for G-loads, roll, pitch, yaw, track mapping and lap timing (PN 30-2206, sold separately). Install on carbureted and pre-2008 stock ECU-equipped vehicles using a 22 Channel CAN Sensor Module (PN 30-2212) or 6 Channel CAN Sensor Module (PN 30-2226). Install 8 additional temp inputs and send them to the CD Carbon Dash with our 8 Channel K-Type EGT CAN Module (PN 30-2224, sold separately). Seven programmable pages including four Main pages, Alarm, On-Change and Start-up pages (requires Button Kit PN 30-3610). Accepts channels from 2008-up factory ECUs using Plug & Play OBDII CAN Adapter Cable (PN 30-2217, sold separately). Dedicated Alarm page quickly identifies problems, programmable in almost any language! (user defined). Two extra switch inputs included for displaying user-triggered events (blinkers, high beams etc.). Unique On-Change page can be used to identify map switching for boost, traction, lap times, etc.. Use the included page layouts and input your channels and text, or create your own from scratch. Over 200 supplied fully programmable SAE and custom warning icons, and you can add your own. User supplied graphics can be changed based on channel values (up to the full screen size). Accepts channels from AEMnet CAN-enabled devices and non-AEM CAN bus devices side by side. Seven LED RPM/shift light indicators on top of the housing (programmable and dimmable). Plug & Play Adapter Cables available for Holley, Link, MSD Atomic and Vi-Pec ECUs. AEM was founded in 1987 by John Concialdi (J.C.) and Bob Sullivan as a tuning performance shop. The shop focused on vintage automobiles and the latest trends in street racing modified imports. With it's location in Compton California, AEM was embedded in the tuner market from the very beginning. It was a matter of being in the right place, at the right time, with the right technical knowhow. Between J.C. and Sullivan, AEM had two important advantages. Technical engine knowledge and massive creativity fueled by an unbridled passion to make things go faster. When it came to understanding air flow through an engine, few had more experience than Concialdi. He managed the R&D department for Weber Carburetors for North American aftermarket applications the previous 10 years. By 1993 when the shop relocated to Gardena California, AEM had the reputation as a modifier of choice. The business had grown so much that at times it ran 24 hours a day. Racers depended on AEM to have cars ready for the next street race or sanctioned event. Cars and drivers sporting AEM’s bright yellow logo became famous in the street racing scene for one consistent reason, they won races. AEM’s first glimpse of mainstream notoriety came when cars tuned by their shop won at the “Battle of the Imports”. This highly contested shoot-out landed AEM on the cover of Turbo Magazine and Sport Compact Magazine. Many of the most visible drivers in import street racing ran cars modified by AEM. This included names like Adam Saruwatari, Tony Fuchs, Brian Kim and Darin Ishitani, Archie Medrano, Russ Matuseavich, Abel Iberra, Miles Bautista, E.T. Saffon. AEM developed one of the first Packaged Air Induction Systems. It's design came from their experience in dyno testing, understanding intake energy dynamics and racing at the Battle of the Imports. AEM’s presence in the tuner movement and its proximity to Nissan, TRD and Honda allowed them a unique opportunity. There was an advantage to living side by side with racers and working with OES engineers. AEM was able to understand both the practical and theoretical side of engine performance. AEM's first air intake kit was offered for sale in 1994 as a "Do-It-Yourself" upgrade for the Honda CRX. This intake proved to be the beginning of a whole new tradition. People could suddenly purchase affordable cars and modify them for increased torque and horsepower. AEM has been a leader in the development of precision tuned induction systems since the Battle of the Imports. Today, the Company’s induction systems number in the hundreds. AEM is still the one to beat.
