Tazer is an electronics manufacturer under the parent company Z Automotive that specializes in programming devices for Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler vehicles. Their devices allow the end-user to “jailbreak” the factory electronics for full control of features that exist in higher trim models and to accommodate modifications such as larger tires or gear ratio changes. Tazer products do not alter emissions-related components, so they are 50-state EPA compliant. Z Automotive was created out of necessity when the founder, electrical engineer Joseph Zizzadoro, could not do a burnout in his new 2007 Dodge Charger due to interference from the electronic stability control system. Joe created a device to remedy the situation and received an overwhelming amount of interest for the product on internet forums. He decided to focus his attention on FCA vehicles and established Z Automotive. Fast-forward 15 years, Z Automotive now has approximately 10 employees and continues to grow. Tazer has quickly become the largest revenue generator within the Z Automotive group and is the go-to electronic solution for modified Jeeps and MOPAR vehicles.
