#Spotted On throtl: 1967 Shelby GT500, 427 FE motor, 4 spd

Mustang GT500 with race lineage GT40 motor under the bonnet!

Just the way we love our classics! This is no numbers matching cream puff restoration build-up that is destined to sit in a showroom or man cave somewhere to drool over. This is a driver, meant to be driven HARD, with the 427ci heart of a historic LeMans racer of the 60's. The ITB's must sound unreal on this beauty and we would love to find out! The owner recently posted it to our page for sale with this to say about the legendary Shelby Mustang:

"A fine example of one of America's most handsome muscle cars. Best in Class Award at Cruisin' for a Cure show a couple years ago. With 51,600 miles, this refurbished, repainted (originally white) fastback is finished in midnight mist blue paint on black leather. It features a 1968 date coded 427 FE engine (as in the '66 and '67 LeMans winning GT40s) with 4x2 Weber downdraft carbs, so performance is neck snapping. Factory 4 speed car maintained by top marque pro. Rear end geared for street use, not drag strip. Power steering and freshly installed braking system. Needs nothing other than an enthusiastic new owner. Solid frame, body and interior. In the Shelby Registry. Message John for more details."

Asking $159,900, it may not be for everyone. But to the right enthusiast this is one helluva car for the money. A classic that will break necks at the drive in and the road course. Go ahead, check it out for yourself! https://www.throtl.com/listings/1967-shelby-gt500-427-fe-motor-4-spd
