Hold Up! We need some more information before you can complete your purchase.
You are purchasing one or more parts or devices for use in California that may affect the emissions of your vehicle. Please read the following important information:
The California Air Resources Board (“CARB”) regulates aftermarket parts and devices that may affect emissions or emissions controls on motor vehicles. These types of parts are generally referred to as “emissions-related parts.” Installing or using these types of parts or devices on vehicles in California is legal only under very limited circumstances. For more information on CARB’s regulation of emissions-related parts, click here.
The following questions are to allow you, and us, to determine whether you are intending to use these part(s) or device(s) for lawful purposes in California. Throtl strongly advises you to not purchase or install parts that may not legally be used on your vehicle. Modifying your vehicle in a way that alters emissions by installing or using parts that have not been approved by CARB for that specific purpose could have serious consequences. It may cause your vehicle to fail a smog inspection. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) may revoke the vehicle registration and certificate of ownership (title) or refuse the transfer of registration. Law enforcement may cite you for the use of illegal aftermarket parts and may seize your title and license plate. We may be required by law to provide the information you give us to CARB if they request it. CARB has the authority to assess significant monetary penalties and order you to return the vehicle to its original condition.
By answering the questions that follow, you will be certifying that you intend to use these parts or devices only for lawful purposes in the State of California and you agree to defend, indemnify and hold Throtl harmless against any claim arising out of or related to any unlawful use of those parts or devices. If you do not agree and do not want to proceed with your purchase of these restricted parts or devices, please contact support@throtl.com with the email subject "REMOVE EMISSIONS RELATED PARTS."
